Success Story from Narconon Arrowhead's Prescription Drug Rehab Center
Every graduation, on Friday, I reflect on my previous week. It is my way of inventorying my progress in this drug rehab program, as well as how I feel physically, mentally and emotionally. I have been doing this since I was in the withdrawal phase of the program. The changes in me are remarkable. I have not really changed as much as I have become myself again. My drug use has been running my life for the past five years. I have been missing in action since I was 33 years old. I missed myself, only existing in a body. My mind and spirit were almost dead. Inpatient Rehabilitation Center
An inpatient
rehabilitation center, other points being equal, is superior to an outpatient center when it comes to effectively handling substance
abuse and addiction.
Inpatient is where the client resides at the
rehabilitation center as opposed to commuting.

addiction was running out of control.

Drug side effects is really not an applicable term when one is talking about the effects caused by illegal street drugs. Effects can generally be broken in mental and physical categories.
Drugs use up nutritional and vitamin stores very quickly leaving the body open to all sorts of illness and maladies and many physical effects are the result of these deficiencies.

All of these substances have their own particular side-effects which create new situations and new sources of mental and physical pain, and so other substances are now used in an attempt to handle these new pains. Thus most of those entering substance
abuse treatment find themselves having problems with not just one substance but multiple substances. Narconon Arrowhead aids the individual in confronting and resolving the use of these substances as well as dealing with the underlying mental and physical pains which resulted in the original and now continued abuse.
The first experience of using meth may involve some pleasure; methamphetamine however begins to destroy the user’s life right from the beginning. This all starts with low intensity use where the individual wants to meth effects to stay away, increase energy, or suppress appetite.
It is usually snorted or swallowed.
The mental and physical effects are so severe that the use quickly moves into binge use. Binge use usually involved smoking or injecting the meth allowing a stronger faster effect that quickly results in psychological meth addiction.
In high intensity use ones whole existence focuses on preventing the inevitable crash following meth use. Tolerance builds up in meth
addiction requiring more and more of the drug at closer and closer intervals. Withdrawal can be mentally and physically painful and is often accompanied by severe depression and suicidal ideation.

However, cocaine is not a new drug. In fact, it is one of the oldest known drugs. The pure chemical, cocaine hydrochloride, has been an abused substance for more than 100 years, and coca leaves, the source of cocaine, have been ingested for thousands of years. There are basically two chemical forms of cocaine: the hydrochloride salt and the "freebase." The hydrochloride salt, or powdered form of cocaine, dissolves in water and, when abused, can be taken intravenously (by vein) or intranasal (in the nose). Freebase refers to a compound that has not been neutralized by an acid to make the hydrochloride salt. The freebase form of cocaine is smokable.
