Long term because we work not from the viewpoint of time spent, but from the viewpoint of results obtained.
It is self-paced and generally is 90-120 days.
It is drug free as we use no substitute prescriptions drugs to handle an already existing
addiction problem, such as substituting methadone for heroin. (Methadone is actually more harmful and addictive than heroin).
Non-traditional because we do not believe
addiction is a disease that must be borne for a life time. We empower the individual with new skills and abilities that allows for the creation of a lifetime of drug free, happy and productive living.

Each drug, alcohol or toxin has its own long term effects as the result of
abuse and addiction. There are a couple of common denominators however when it comes to the long term effects of addiction.

The debilitating effects of the drugs can and do create more and more mental and physical problems and pains which often leads to the use of other addictive drugs in an endless downward spiral.

There are of course all the various physical complications that come from any particular drug or chemical.
Add to this the fact that many, if not most, addicts are abusing multiple drugs and chemicals and one sees the danger of
addiction to any one substance being compounded by this multiple use. One of the
dangers of addiction is plainly clear however.
This being the fact that when addiction exists, the
drug use controls the individual rather than the individual controlling the drug use.
